Using SOUWND
These terms are between you and Vitava, Inc., the seller and operator of this service. By continuing to use SOUWND you accept these terms. You must be legally able to agree to them and have authority to act for any organisation you represent. Contact us at [contact email].
SOUWND provides browser-based recording, editing, stem separation, export and transcription, with optional accounts, cloud backup, sync and sharing. Local recording, editing, stems and export remain free. Transcription and cloud features have plan limits shown on the pricing page.
Only use audio you have rights to
Record, upload, process or share only audio you own, have permission to use, or are otherwise legally entitled to use. Obtain any required consent from speakers and follow applicable recording and privacy laws. Sharing access to a browser tab does not give you copyright permission.
You retain your rights in your audio and other inputs. We claim no ownership of your recordings, edits, separated stems or transcripts. Any rights in outputs remain subject to the rights in the source material and applicable law. You give us only the permission needed to process, store and share content as you request.
Rights holders can report infringement to [contact email], identifying the material and their rights. We may remove or restrict infringing content and suspend accounts for repeated infringement.
Acceptable use
Do not use SOUWND unlawfully, for fraud or spam, or to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights. Do not interfere with security, distribute malware, probe systems without permission, scrape protected data, bypass limits or compromise other accounts.
Do not use AI tools to create illegal content, deceptive deepfakes, hate speech or malware, or to bypass safety controls through jailbreaking. We may refuse or filter outputs, remove or restrict content, and suspend access for harmful or prohibited use.
AI results need your review
You are responsible for your prompts, inputs and use of outputs, including having the necessary rights and checking accuracy. Transcripts, speaker labels, summaries and other AI results may be wrong or incomplete. They are not a substitute for regulated medical, legal, financial or other professional advice without qualified oversight.
Our software and your account
Vitava, Inc. retains ownership of its software, documentation and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan. Do not resell the service or bypass technical restrictions. Protect your account and keep your information accurate.
Browser permissions and device support affect recording. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Keep exports of important files: clearing browser storage can erase local work.
Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
See Paddle’s Buyer Terms for payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics. Your selected monthly or yearly subscription renews automatically at the billing frequency and price shown at checkout until cancelled. A successful purchase activates Pro after payment confirmation reaches SOUWND.
Cancel in Settings → Account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; Pro remains available until then, and your plan returns to Free afterwards. Monthly/yearly switches happen immediately with the difference charged or credited on a prorated basis. If a renewal fails, Pro remains available during payment retries and a notice asks you to update your card.
Cancellation does not automatically delete backups. Existing backups are kept; new backups are subject to Free storage limits after Pro ends. You may remove backups or request account deletion. Refund requests are covered by our Refund Policy.
Suspension and ending access
We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where practical and safe, we will explain the reason. This does not limit rights you have under consumer law.
Governing law and questions
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without removing mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Contact [contact email] with questions or complaints.
